Swami Turiyananda Life and Teachings

Swami Turiyananda was closely associated with Sri Ramakrishna during the last 6 years of his life. The swami was regarded as a rare combination of extreme asceticism, sympathy, devotional fervor, Sanskrit scholarship, and modern outlook.

Swami Vivekananda sent him to America in 1899 as an example of the ideal Indian sannyasin. he stayed in the US for less than three years, teachings on both coasts till he finally returned to India. Many were greatly inspired by his life and example.
