Ramanuja was a medieval Indian theologian and thinker whose philosophical foundations for devotionalism were influential to the Bhakti Movement in India. One of the most important exponents of the Sri Vaishnavism within Hinduism, Ramanuja was born in Tamil Nadu approximately one thousand years ago. In celebration of his birth anniversary this important booklet has been published by the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture. It consists of an article in three parts by Pravrajika Shuddhatmaprana originally published in the Institute’s Bulletin.

The sole purpose of this work is simple to bring together a few new stories (or variations on old ones) that present some new facets to Ramanuja’s personality.--Pravrajika Shuddhatmaprana
