A great introduction to the Upanishads
The first part of the book puts the Upanishads in to context. It gives a historical overview, compares it with western philosophies, and explains how to understand the. If you want to understand Upanishads and Advait Vedanta as philosophy or a model of consciousness, which is what my intention was, I highly recommend this book as a starting point.

It's a book par excellence. A great abridged introduction to come of the oldest of Indic philosophies. And the book was shipped promptly. I am very satisfied with the purchase and will purchase more books in the future.
