Max Mueller and His Contemporaries

This rather specialized book is a collection of papers presented in an international seminar on German-born Max Mueller(1823-1900).

The seminar was organized to appraise the current Indological situation and to look ahead in such areas as Sanskrit studies, comparative religion, philosophy, and social criticism - all areas where Max Muller made significant contributions.
