A practical step-by-step guide to the study and practice of the yoga of knowledge. Useful insights to practice thinking, reflection and meditation to manifest our full potential--and experience joy, freedom and perfection through time-tested methods first discovered in the Vedas, at least 3,000 years ago. A brilliant commentary on Swami Vivekananda's classic "Jnana Yoga."
In Vivekananda's words:
The object of jñāna yoga is the same as that of other yogas, but the method is different. Jñāna, or knowledge, consists in knowing who we really are: beyond fear, beyond birth, beyond death. Jñāna yogis force their way to the Divine by the power of pure reason. They must be prepared to throw away all old idols, all old beliefs and superstitions, all desire for this world or another, and be determined only to find freedom.

Knowing the Knower: A Jnana Yoga Manual
Knowing the Knower by Swami Tyagananda
This is a small, easy to read no nonsense, book. I like it a lot. When detached from all kind of superficial needs, all will benefit from reading about knowledge, oneness and freedom. The knower is one, the known are many. ‘Knowing the knower’, the One, is the goal, a different kind of knowledge, para-vidya.
Knowing the Knower: A Jnana Yoga Manual
Great Jnana Yoga Summary
Knowing the Knower is a great summary of jnana yoga teaching. This book brings Vivekananda's words into current language.
