Mandukya Upanishad
Service was prompt. The book is a great help to understanding the shortest Upanishad.
1) The book arrived promptly and well wrapped. 2) There were pages missing from the Foreward. As yet I am not sure if more pages are missing, cursery examination indicated that there are no further missing pages. 3) I have a problem reading the main book because I was expecting to see a linear listing of the Mandukya Upanishad, and then the commentary by Gaudapada and Sankaracharya. However, I cannot tell which Sanskrit verses are the actual Upanishad and which are Gaudapada's writings.
I am a complete beginner, but with some understanding of Sanskrit and am disappointed, not to be able to read the short Upanishad itself. Thank you for taking the time to follow up. I would not recommend purchasing this book if one wants to read the Upanishad verses first, you cannot find out which verses are which.
This is a good book and goes along with the lectures by Swami Priyananda. It is not a word for word translation; more of a phase transliteration. Since I am learning Sanskrit, it has beeen somewhat difficult to work with since I still have a limited (very) vocabulary. But still a wonderful book to further Vedanta education.
