For many years I've read and loved the original version of the Gita translated by Swami Prabhavananda and Christopher Isherwood. This new study edition doesn't change the beautiful text, but adds chapter and verse numbers. This makes it very easy to use as a study aid, and when looking up a specific chapter/verse. Thanks so much for this!

Texts of the Gita was heavy with interpretations perhaps more meaningful to disciples of the teacher. This now classic edition is written in clear English, suitable for native speakers.

This is the same Swami Prabhavananda and Christopher Isherwood edition of the Bhagavad Gita: The Song of God translation as the paperback and hardback editions. The only difference with the other Swami Prabhavananda translations is that this printing has the Gita verses numbered. Says Swami Sarvapriyananda, "A beautiful book has just become more useful."
