Found among the papers of Sister Nivedita after her death, the two little stories contained in Siva and Buddha are a delight to read. Apparently intended to be included in a series of such stories to familiarize general readers of the West with the central ideals of Hindu Mythology, Siva or Mahadev and Buddha and Yasodhara will, it is hoped, touch the reader’s sense of the creative art of storytelling that is so much a part of the genius of Sister Nivedita.
