The reader travels with Sister Nivedita to such places as such as Belur, Naini-Tal, Almora, Srinagar (Kashmir) in the year 1898, visiting various shrines and temples along the way. Through these reminiscences we get a glimpse not only of the beauty of India, but also of the private life of Swami Vivekananda and the remarkable teachings he imparted to Sister Nivedita and other disciples.
