Bhagavad Gita (Chidbhavananda)
This was on Swami Medhananda's BG course reading list. It has brief Ramakrishna notes on many verses.
I have many different versions of the Bhagavad Gita. This one is in my opinion very helpful in order to get a better understanding of the scripture and for learning Sanskrit words. The only other version I am aware of that shows the same translation strategy is the Bhagavad Gita with commentaries by Swami Tapasyananda. I also like that Swami Chidbhavananda did add teachings of Sri Ramakrishna. It is a good beginning for interpreting the Bhagavad Gita in the Light of Sri Ramakrishna.
Hopefully Swami Medhananda or somebody else from the order will find one day the time to write the commentary on the Bhagavad Gita in Light of Sri Ramakrishna.
Drawback of this version: I found many spelling mistakes. In my opinion too many. After such a long time most of them should have been corrected by now. Hopefully it will be done soon.
Book arrived in excellent condition, fast delivery.
Minimal commentary (I prefer a little more commentary), but still one of only 4 or 5 Gitas that I like. The Swami Ramsukhdas Gita so far is my favorite by far. But this one is ok, worth getting I suppose.
This is my favorite commentary of the Gita. The teachings of Sri Ramakrishna interspersed throughout the translation makes this a treasure!
This is my third copy of Swami Chidbhavananda's fine translation and commentary of the Gita. The first I got in the mid-70's, the second in 1994. Both fell apart in time. This new binding is more solid and on better quality paper, although there is a certain nostalgia for the old more approximate publication! This is my favorite commentary and I'm very glad it is still in print.

Great book. I did not notice any printing issues as mentioned by previous comments. The print quality of my book was excellent.
I already had a copy of this book, but some of the print is faded away so I was hoping this one would be different. I am sorry to say that I am once again disappointed with the same faded print on certain pages. However, this book is still the best copy of the Bhagavad Gita I have read considering it includes Gita Dhyanam and excellent commentary by Swami Chidbhavananda and pertinent quotes by Sri Ramakrishna.
