Universal Message of the Gita

Universal Message of the Gita: An Exposition of the Gita in the Light of Modern Thought and Modern Needs

by Swami Ranganathananda

This 3-volume work is a verse–by-verse exposition of the Gita originally given in a series of Sunday lectures from 1988-1990 in Hydrabad, India.

The author, now deceased, was the president of the Ramakrishna Order. Whenever he came to visit the Hollywood center, people seemed to come out of the woodwork to hear him.

His knowledge of the scriptures, plus his ability to relate Vedanta to Western thought ensured a large audience. He was equally successful in India drawing enthusiastic crowds in the thousands.
