As the final conflict between the Pandavas and Kauravas draws near, Lord Balarama breaks His vow to marry His daughter to Abhimanyu, son of Subhadra, and instead offers her to the cowardly son of Duryodhana.
Insulted, Subhadra takes her son to Ghatotkacha, son of Bhima, and a master of black magic. Ghatotkacha decides to fix the problem and teach the Kauravas a lesson. As usual, Krishna is the Supreme Arranger who remains the power behind all thrones.
Intrigue, magic, damsels in distress, demons, fixed dice, and a continuous stream of special effects make this devotional movie especially entertaining. It was produced nearly 60 years ago, and it portrays these divine pastimes with a purity that is hard to find in today's cinema. 150 minutes. B/W. Telugu with English Subtitles by ITV.
150 minutes. B/W video, NTSC video tape, or
black and white NTSC DVD - all regions
