This CD is a collection of 65 talks or classes on the Bhagavad Gita given by Swami Prabhavananda in a series of classes in 1954-62 for the Thursday night class. The swami is the translator of The Bhagavad Gita: The Song of God.
What sets these classes apart from the lectures is that the setting was more informal and the swami would take questions from the audience after the talk. You never knew what the question would be or how he would answer.
Effective Jan. 28, 2009, we are pleased to make this MP3 set available with the question and answer sessions that followed the classes. This means that more than 16 hours have been added at no extra cost.
You can also get the book translated by Swami Prabhavananda and Christopher Isherwood for a reduced price with the purchase of this CD.
Please note that the CD contains MP3 files. You can download the lectures on your IPOD-type device, or listen to the CD on your computer or with a DVD or CD player that plays MP3 files.
Should you prefer, and at a modest savings, you can download the MP3 files from our Vedanta Archives website. Note that at this time, the downloads at this web site do not include the question and answer sessions.
